We are seeking a Medical ScienceLiaison(MSL) orSenior MSLtojoin usourteam! This role serves as the local medical voice of AZ in the disease area of interest and builds a local medical strategy to improve patient care and outcomes in their territory. The MSL is an established field-based professional with extensive scientific,clinical,and therapeutic areaexpertiseresponsible for providing medical and scientific support for AstraZeneca's oncology marketed products, new indications for current products, and compounds in development.
Whatyou’lldo
Act as the local medical leader responsible for developing a tailored strategy to meet the AZ USMA priorities in the disease area, as well as the local specificities and patient needs.
Develop strong working relationships in different external business settings (e.g.academia, hospitals, managed markets, private practices)
Lead scientific exchanges with oncologists and key members of theMDT.
Lead peer to peer scientific/medical interactions
Gather insights on the treatment landscape, evolving healthcare environment and practice, barrier tooptimaltreatment and patient care or opportunities to improve outcomes of patients with cancer
Discuss with KOLs data and educational gaps to ensure adequate use of our medicines and to inform our R&D strategy to address patient needs
Stay current with scientific knowledge and attend relevant scientific meetings and conferences.
Collaborate withClinops on trials from feasibility to execution
Minimum Qualifications
Advanced scientific degreerequired(i.e.PharmD, MD/DO, PhD,PAor NP) in a relevant health science or clinical discipline
Ability to express ideas clearly in written documentation, one-on-one conversations and in small group dialogues Ability to navigate within amatrixialenvironment
Ability to navigate within amatrixialenvironment
0-2+ years of MSL experience or relevant therapeutic area experience
Demonstratedexpertisein discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences
Strong understanding of clinical study design and protocols
Basic understanding of the Healthcare system, clinical trialmethodology,statisticsand regulatory environment
Excellent project management ability
Ability to travel (40-60% by car,trainand plane domestic)
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate strongly preferred in a health science or clinical discipline
MSL experience

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $174,455-$261,682. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity and eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program. Benefits offered include a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
